Holiday Wishes really do come true!

 

The Petco Foundation has joined Ellen DeGeneres and her natural pet food company, Halo, Purely for Pets, to announce a new Holiday Wishes Grant Campaign. Animal welfare organizations throughout the country can compete for the opportunity to receive the winning grant award of $100,000 this holiday season.

Additional grants will be awarded to competition finalists in the following amounts: $50,000 for 2nd place winner, $25,000 for 3rd place winner and five and ten thousand dollar grants to ten runner-up organizations.

Ellen will announce the winning animal-welfare group – who will earn a $100,000 grand prize grant to support their work to save animals – in December.

The Holiday Wishes Grant Campaign is open to U.S. animal welfare organizations dedicated to finding animals homes for the holidays.

The application process is simple. All animal welfare organizations that provide adoption services, including governmental animal services and shelters and all sizes of private IRS recognized 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations may apply. Only authorized representatives of the non-profit may apply on behalf of the organization. Individuals can encourage their local animal welfare organization to apply for a Holiday Wishes grant.

Organizations just need one good success story, including photos, and some basic organizational information. All applicants must read the Application Guidelines in their entirety prior to accessing the application system (we recommend you print them out to help in fulfilling your application requirements).
